What technique is used for skin resurfacing?
We use our state of the art micro needling technique to improve skin contour and texture, treat acne scars, treat pigmentary problems, and for overall rejuvenation thousands of channels at different depths into the skin. We are able to use activated serums which will be absorbed at a rate of 90% instead of the usual 3% on broken skin. We also use your own natural nutrients from your body (Platelet-Rich Plasma or PRP) to speed up the healing process.
What is the down time and how many treatments will I need?
Downtime can range from 1 day to 1 week and depends on the treatment that you and your doctor decide is best for you. Because with microneedling, there is no thermal injury (like a laser); the downtime for this treatment even for the deepest of acne scars is only 24-36 hours of pinkness. Makeup can be applied hours after the treatment so you can go about your day. We recommend a series of a 3-10 treatments depending on what you are trying to accomplish, spaced 2 weeks apart.
